Да, вам не послышалось — это не кликбейт, не история о сбежавших из зоопарка животных и не шутка про энергетик с ягуаром. Леопарды жили здесь всегда. Это их историческая родина. Но браконьерство, увы, присуще многим: большая часть местной мегафауны — олени, безоаровые козлы и леопарды — истреблялась десятилетиями буквально «по приколу». Других причин для такого варварства я не вижу. Но на этом плохие новости кончаются. Благодаря усилиям экологов и властей популяцию удалось начать восстанавливать. И пока всё идет хорошо. Что мы имеем на сегодняшний день: ✅ Цифры: В Армении сейчас зафиксировано около 10 особей (по последним данным фотоловушек). Каждый из них — на вес золота. ✅ Где они живут: Исторически это юг — скалистые горы Сюника и Вайоц Дзора (Хосровский заповедник, Зангезурский заказник). Но держитесь крепче: недавно леопарда зафиксировали даже на севере, в Тавуше! Это настоящий триумф — зверь возвращается на свои северные территории, где его не видели десятилетиями. ✅ На кого охотятся: Главное блюдо в меню леопарда — безоаровый козел. Раньше козлов почти выбили, и леопардам просто нечего было есть. Сейчас популяцию козлов восстановили, а значит, у «пятнистых» появился шанс на выживание. Не волнуйтесь, на людей они не нападают. Хотя было бы справедливо, если бы для любителей пострелять они сделали исключение и добавили в рацион барана, но уже двуногого. Шутка, конечно, но имейте в виду: штраф за леопарда сейчас — 100 000 000 драмов (~$250 000) плюс реальный уголовный срок. Про горных козлов расскажем отдельно, ибо есть секретные места, где вы можете увидеть их своими глазами. P.S. Для тех, кто считает, что «хищники — это зло»: без леопарда горы превращаются в пустыню.
