Cathedral of St. Gregory the Illuminator
The location is a colossal architectural complex in the center of Yerevan, erected in 2001 to commemorate the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity. The cathedral is striking in its scale: the height of the building reaches 54 meters, and the gigantic internal hall can simultaneously accommodate up to 2,500 people. The entire complex, including the monumental belfry and wide stone staircases, is made of light tuff and is the largest structure of Armenian religious architecture.
