Agarak fortress and Surb Astvatsatsin church

The location unites the ruins of the ancient Agarak fortress and the Church of the Holy Mother of God (Surb Astvatsatsin), impressively rising on a hill and visible from afar. The place is a stunning panoramic point and location for dramatic photographs: it simultaneously offers a large-scale view of the biblical Ararat and the snow-capped peaks of Aragats. The road to the site is difficult to pass, so it is recommended to climb the hill on foot (about 10 minutes of intense climbing), since an ordinary car will not pass here.
